Maldives Celebrates growth of Tourism Industry – Bringing 100,000 visitors for month 3 of 2024

The Ministry of Tourism in the Maldives proudly announces a significant milestone in the tourism sector, with over 100,000 tourist arrivals recorded for the third consecutive month this year. Highlighted by the latest statistics from Velana International Airport (VIA), this achievement underscores the enduring allure of the Maldives as a premier global destination, renowned for its stunning hotels, all-inclusive packages, and bespoke holiday experiences.

With a strategic focus on diversifying tourist markets, the Maldives has seen China emerge as the top contributor, followed by Russia and Italy. Currently, 1,174 tourist facilities cater to every traveller’s needs, from luxurious resorts to adventurous live-aboard vessels. Minister of Tourism Ibrahim Faisal expressed optimism for the year ahead – and with many kinds of luxury resort in Maldives waters, such as the famous OZEN Reserve Bolifushi, most visitors will have unforgettable experiences.
