Thailand Achieves Hop Honours in Travel and Leisure Awards: A Lifestyle Like No Other

Travel Leisure, a leading travel and lifestyle magazine, has awarded Thailand the prestigious Travel Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2024. Koh Samui was named the Best Island in Asia Pacific, and Samui Airport ranked fourth among the best airports. Additionally, Bangkok was awarded the Best City in Asia Pacific. These recognitions underscore Thailand’s remarkable potential in the tourism sector, showcasing its natural beauty and the exceptional convenience offered to travellers.

The awards were determined by votes from Travel Leisure readers between January and March 2024. The magazine highlighted Koh Samui’s unique charm, noting its quaint bungalows, picturesque fishing villages, and breathtaking natural scenery, contributing to its status as one of Thailand’s most visited destinations. Chai Wacharonke, Government Spokesperson, announced that Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is committed to developing Thailand’s tourist destinations to elevate the country as a global tourism hub. The spokesperson further noted that these accolades reflect the Thai tourism industry’s capability to deliver exceptional experiences, thereby enhancing the country’s status as a premier global destination. Khao Lak too, deserves special mention due to its excellent beach life, with stays at a Phang Nga beach resort the likes of Avani+ Khao Lak Resort being one of comfort, grandeur and adventure.
